Andrew Eich

Andrew Eich has a background in cyber security, financial crime, and risk management. Andrew has led enhanced due diligence investigations for venture capital deals in Asia, Europe, and Russia. Minimizing firm risks and potential impacts from Treasury Department CFIUS concerns. Additionally, Andrew has conducted multiple high-visibility international cryptocurrency anti-money laundering projects and ransomware negotiations. He has led counterintelligence investigations to counter insider threats and espionage activities. He has recently developed quantum computing programs to test ways of breaking different types of encryption. Andrew was a Cybersecurity Advisor to the Illinois State Board of Elections in 2020 and lectured on Human Intelligence Collection and Targeting at the university level.

Andrew served over a decade in the United States Marine Corps. He has completed the PLC Program at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, focusing on ethics and leadership impacting emerging technologies and cybersecurity policy. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from American University's Kogod School of Business.

Andrew is serving the House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (Select Committee on the CCP) and is working on emerging issues related to Strategic Competition between the US and CCP, such as cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI ethics.
