dEV JHAVERI
Dev is a software engineer specializing in consumer-centric technology, antitrust, and privacy. He earned a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Dartmouth College, where he focused on industrial organization and game theory, and emerging technologies such as cryptography, deep learning, and robotics.
At Amazon, Dev primarily worked on the on-device software that controls Alexa, including building the interface that allows Alexa accessories to work with Fire Tablets and developing a universal smart-home dashboard. He re-designed data sets to better serve business needs while also protecting customer privacy with anonymization and transparency. Previously, Dev built a system to automatically diagnose incorrect Alexa responses.
In his free time, Dev enjoys getting away from technology and spending time outdoors. He is an Eagle Scout and chaired the hiking club at Dartmouth.
