John Yaros is a finance, technology, and national security expert and founder of a company focusing on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence solutions. Previously, John was a leader within the Treasury Department’s Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, serving as the Section Chief of the Terrorism and Nuclear Proliferation Team at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), where he used his cybersecurity, data analytics, and emerging technologies expertise to craft solutions to national security threats. Prior to that, John worked as a Government Accountability Office (GAO) Analyst, analyzing cyber threats to the American banking system for members of Congress. Before joining government, John spent several years in the financial services industry with Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management (PWM) Division, providing financial advice for individuals and families with more than $20 million in investable assets.

John earned his M.A. in Government and Politics, with a focus on international relations, from St. John’s University, and holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in Italian from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. He is also a proud cancer survivor and former NCAA ice hockey player who was a member of the Hockey East All Star Academic Team.

John served with the Senate Homeland Security Committee Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations majority staff under Chairman Rob Portman (R-OH) and supported work on investigations into cybersecurity, illicit finance, and technology.
