lAUREN LOMBARDO

Lauren Lombardo is a digital government and technology policy expert. She earned a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where she also worked as a research fellow for the Harvard Kennedy School Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. As part of this research, Lauren published several articles and academic papers on digital service groups, public-sector code sharing, government platforms, and government digital transformation.

Lauren has also consulted on several digital government projects for local, state, and federal government organizations, including the United States Air Force; the City of Lincoln, Nebraska; the City of New Haven, Connecticut; and the State of New Jersey. Most recently, Lauren worked with Microsoft’s Worldwide Public Sector to publish research on the effective development and implementation of government platforms.

Prior to her studies at Harvard, Lauren was a Senior Data Scientist at Nielsen, where she managed product enhancements for two digital measurement products. A California native, Lauren spent much of her early career working in California politics.

Lauren is serving with Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) and working on a variety of current and emerging technology issues.
