Walter Pope served as a Naval Special Warfare officer and led teams in high-stress environments. He ensured the operational readiness of his unit and oversaw tactical communications systems training, mission planning, administrative functions, and logistics. Most recently, he coordinated efforts across multiple overseas teams in support of special operations and technology-driven engagements. Outside of the military, his experience includes advising a startup professional services company on business strategy and online presence.
Walter is passionate about economic opportunity and community development. He served challenged communities in West Africa and the Caribbean as well as mentored at a Boston-area youth development program. Walter competed as a wrestler and holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the U.S. Naval Academy.
Walter served with Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and supported work on the future of work, gig economy, and economic opportunity issues.
